Peloponnese Peninsula after Crete in October

We have four nights prior to flying out of Athens after a week in Crete in mid-October. We’d like to combine historical sites with some beaches or kayaking (and have toured Athens previously). More details below. Any suggestions? We’re also open to other options instead of this itinerary for our four nights.

Proposed itinerary -
Day one - Arrive in Athens airport from Crete 10am - drive to Olympia, stop in Corinth along the way, make it back to Nafplio and stay 3 nights.

Days 2 and 3 - 2 full days in Nafplio to see sites and maybe beaches in late afternoon. One day trip to Hydra?
Day 4 - Early breakfast, drive to Sounion for the day and stay the night.
Morning of flight - Drive from Sonunion to fly out of Athens 1pm.

Could skip Olympia and instead stay 1-2 nights in Hydra and the remainder in Nafplio.

Could do something completely different, even fly to Corfu, etc.

Thanks!

Have you mapped out these drives? I didn’t confirm, but day 1 does not look realistic to me. Swap Olympia for Nemea and that works well.
I would just stay the entirety in Nafplio. Maybe do Cape Sounion on your first day instead? Check the drive times to see what works better.

I checked the drive time on Google Maps, understanding it can be slower. The reason for Sounio at the end is because we can stay there overnight and then head to the airport in the morning since our flight isn’t until 1pm and I’d rather not waste a hotel night at the Athens airport.

How about skip Olympia, 3 nights Nafplio and day trip from there, final night in Sounio?

Yes that sounds great! I just didn't have the drive times memorized, and wanted make sure you had verified all that.
