I program a road trip to Greece in June 2021
starting from Athens Airport.
*First step Epidavros, Poros and Hydra.
*Second step :Messinia, Pylos, Koroni, Ithomi, Dimitsana and Kalavryta
*Third Step Nafpactos, Galaxidi, Delphi Arachova
*Fourth step Ioannina, Meteora and Pelion
We planned 6 days exploring the area of Epidavros, Poros and Hydra (we visited Nafplio for some years ago with Mycenes, Mystra, kardamyli, Mani, Monemvassia, but not the West Coast and Messinia
We love being near water and romantic places,nice nightlife, festivals..
Shell we stay in Nafplio or spend 1 night in Nea Epidaurus and continue to Galatas in order to visit Poros and Hydra?
1)- Where do you recommend to stay( in Palaia Epidavros or Nea Epidavros or in Nafplio.
2)- In order to visit Poros and Hydra, do you advice to :
Leave the car in Galatas (is the parking free?) and go to Poros as a foot passenger
Or to cross with car and the next day to Hydra for one night
- Or return to Galatas and drive to Ermioni or Metochi to Hydra?.
3)-In order to visit ancient messinia, Pylos, Nestor, Gialova, Ithomi, koroni, finikounda, do you advise to stay in Pylos or to change from town to town? (6 days)
4) Do you recommend to have a stop in karytaina, Dimitsana or Stemnitsa ( 1 night) on the way to kalavryta 1 night . (I will not visit Olympos).
5) My next trip is to go to Galaxidi for 2 nights to
Visit Delphi and Arachova.
Visit Nafpaktos (1 night).
N. B: Is the extended trip to the west of Peloponnese(Messina region) could be replaced from the point of view of nature, archeological sites, coastal and mountain villages by the region of Central and north Greece (Galaxidi, Nafpaktos, Delphi, Arachova, Pelion) or the two regions are very different from each other.
6)- Ioannina ( 3 nights )
7)- Meteora (2 nights)
8)- Pelion (5 days)
