PCR Testing in Athens

Is it possible to get a PCR test at Athens airport and if so, how do I make an appointment? I will be staying in the Makrigianni neighborhood south of the Acropolis so I could find a place near there too, any suggestions, thank you?

There is a testing point (PCR and Antigen tests) located in the airport at the “Arrivals” level, between exits 2 and 3., it's operates 24/24. You may proceed for testing without an appointment.
You can also register here:

You can also ask in pharmacies, so try on monday at the pharmacy located 25 Makrigianni Street, this is the pedestrian street that runs along the museum, with all the restaurant terraces (and the metro station Acropolis)
If they don't do the tests, he can probably tell you a nearby place.

You can also ask your hotel. We will be in Athens at the end of May. I emailed our hotel and asked them if there is a pharmacy nearby that does Covid testing. There is one very, very close to our hotel. When we arrive in Athens, our hotel is going to make an appointment for us at the pharmacy. We have to have our tests done on a Saturday, and on Saturday that particular pharmacy stops testing at 2:00PM. So if you decide to get tested at a pharmacy, you should ask during what hours they test.

Are you American? Per CDC requirements, Americans have to be tested one day before their departure date in order to return to the US. So I believe that means you need an antigen test ( in order to get results before you depart).

Thank you kmkwoo! I’m staying at a guesthouse so I’m not sure if there’ll be anyone available to ask. I am aware that I need to get an antigen test to return home. Thank you again for your helpful advice and I hope your trip is uneventful, stay safe.
