If you are heading to Athens within the next month you are in for a treat. There is currently no scaffolding on the Parthenon!

I joked once, well, only half heartedly, that my wife and I have an impressive collection of portraits of major landmarks we visited, all enshrouded in scaffolding.

We visited yesterday and I'm currently sitting in my hotel balcony looking at the Parthenon, an yes it is indeed free of scaffolding.
Like mentioned above, were have many photos of monuments with scaffolds, so this is a minor miracle.
