Any tips or advice for parking our rental car in Delphi and in Meteora? We traveling in mid June. Thanks!
Kate
We were in Delphi two weekends ago and the cars and busses were just parked along the sides of the road. We were staying in town, so we parked on the street next to our hotel. Get used to parking places you’d never even think of trying in the US for fear of tickets. There is no real parking lot at Delphi and I think in June you will want to get there as early or late as possible to get the least-crowded experience possible. We used https://hhticket.gr to purchase all of our tickets and loved the flexibility of choosing our time-slots.
Great information, thank you!

Most if not all of the monasteries in Meteora have a small parking area nearby which we found (in June) never to be too full. Another option we used is to do a tour with Visit Meteora which will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the monasteries (depending on which ones are open on which days). Its a small bus / van tour and the guides are excellent. https://visitmeteora.travel/
Although we rented a car to drive to Meteora. We left it in the hotel parking lot and took a guided tour with
We took both the half day tour and the sunset tour. They were both different and there was no overlap.
The benefit of taking a tour rather than driving the narrow windy roads was that I could look at the scenery while someone else drove. We got excellent commentary and we didn't have to worry about parking.
At one monastery, the van dropped us off at the top of the crag, we walked across and down to the visit the monastery and then walked down to the bottom of the crag where the van picked us up. Otherwise it would have been an uphill climb back to the few parking spots along the side of the road.
