Packing a jacket

Hello! I'm going on Rick's Athens and the Heart of Greece tour the first 2 weeks in September. I'm trying to decide what kind of light jacket to take. My sister went in September a few years ago and said she took a really light hoodie but there were times she wished she had something a little heavier. The weather guide says highs in the 80s, lows in 60s. Would a light denim jacket work?

Hello,

While your sister has the very best anecdotal advice since she was on this same itinerary during the same months, I personally like a light woven (hoody type) jacket to cut any wind.

On our trips to Greece in the past, which were during the hotter months, a linen jean jacket would have been good in the evening. But if the wind kicked up, or on a rainy day, I could layer the woven zip up jacket underneath.

I hope this helps! Greece is one of my favorite places. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you both! I'm feeling good about my choice of outerwear. So looking forward to this trip!
