One night in Santorini - lodging suggestions?

Which island is after Santorini? What time does the ferry depart? What is your maximum room budget for the night? Do you want easy walking-distance access to youth-oriented nightlife?

We go to Milos. Budget is up to $120. Partying is not high on our agenda, but we like good music. Alas, I am no longer a youth, but my daughter is only 25.
I'm hoping we can catch a ferry mid to late morning. but it might be an early one.
Is it realistic to find a room within walking distance of the port, or should we just plan on taxis?

Hi I would recommend to stay in Irinis Villa Resort. Perfect view, the best price/quality ratio.

There are 7am and 8am ferry departures to Milos mid-June on a Sunday. It's not realistic to think of walking to the port. It's at the base of the cliff and there aren't any places to stay nearby for $120 (€104), especially if you want to be able to stroll around and enjoy your surroundings. Instead, just find a hotel in Fira that offers free transport to and from the ferry port, or have the hotel book you a taxi. The port bus may even be operating that early from Fira but you'll have to ask at the bus square in Fira to be sure.

Thanks - I just studied the map and realize now that it is not so simple. I'll look for a hotel with transport.
Actually - may just stay on the cruise ship back to Piraeus and then catch a ferry back to Milos from there - or a flight. It actually may be easier tho it seems counter intuitive!
