Oia Santorini Honeymoon

Hello All:

We are planning our honeymoon in Santorini in the first week of August this year. We've decided to stay in Oia and I needed some help in choosing which area of Oia to stay in.

We'd like to have a hotel which has great views of the caldera, including views of the city (i.e. the white washed building etc.) and the sea. Please provide some hotel suggestions. Budget ~$600-$700/nights (of course cheaper but good quality works as well).

From my research online it appears depending on location you may not get the best view of all the white-washed building etc. but instead its more just the sea view and the edge of the caldera. Any other suggestions/comments are welcome; if my understanding of the area is incorrect, please let me know as well.

It's true that some parts of Oia provide a better view than others. The best view is from Aspaki Hotel but Oia Castle, Ikies, Perivolas Villas, Kirini, Katikies, Canaves Oia, Mystique, Andronis, Fanari Villas and Esperas Houses all have spectacular views as well. Less-expensive: Atrina Houses, Alexander's Boutique Hotel, Strogili Houses, Nostos Apartments, La Perla Villas, Kima Villas, Golden Sunset Villas and Marizan Villas. All have excellent views but are more self-catering or B&B instead of full-service hotels. What you spend depends on your requirements.

As far as which area, Oia is small. Nothing is far away regardless of where you're staying. That said, Ikies, Perivolas, Kirnin and Mystique are the furthest away from the central square.
