No Symi–Halki ferry on 12 May? Are more sailings added later

Hi everyone,
I’m currently planning a trip to Rhodes this May and would really appreciate some advice regarding the ferry timetables.
We will be leaving from Lindos on Monday 11th May to travel to Symi, where we will stay for one night. We are then hoping to travel from Symi to Halki on Tuesday 12th May, before returning to Rhodes Town on Wednesday 13th May.
However, when I check online (FerryScanner, Ferryhopper, etc.), I can’t seem to find any direct ferry from Symi to Halki on Tuesday 12th May. The only option showing appears to be a long indirect route via Kos, which would take most of the day.
My main question is — are the ferry timetables currently showing for May likely to be final, or do additional sailings tend to be added closer to the time?
If anyone has experience of this route or knows whether a direct Symi–Halki ferry is likely to run on that date, I would really appreciate your advice.
Many thanks in advance 😊

I just went on the ferry hopper app and it shows that the only trips from Symi to Halki in May are on the 5th & 7th only where as if you went from Rhodes to Halki the ferry goes every day. Better off going from Rhodes then. Stay on Symi more than one night. You won’t regret it. We stayed there for four nights last June and wish we’d stayed a week. Yes, it looks like those dates are final, although they could change but I doubt it. The dates are usually the same from year to year although the operator may change.

Perhaps Nicksy will have more information, the timetables for the F/B Stavros of SAOS Ferries, the only weekly ferry that operated the Symi–Halki route on Tuesdays in May last year, are currently only available until late April.

See below:

If there is no other direct ferry on May 12th, you will have to travel via Rhodes. There are options. Check on Ferryhopper by selecting "trips with connections".

There is no direct ferry on that specific day. Last year there was SAOS on Tuesdays but the changed the itinerary this year and don't go from Symi to Halki anymore. So this is your best option on 12 May:

10.15: Panagia Skiadeni (Dodekanisos Seaways) from Symi to Rhodes
14.00: Diagoras (Blue Star Ferries) from Rhodes to Halki

You will have a layover of over 2 hours in Rhodes but the good news is you don't have to get from one port to another. Both ferries use the commercial port (Locanda).
I would suggest lunch at Locanda or at La Terazza. Both are next to each other just outside the port. I prefer Locanda btw.
