Naxos Lodging and Mama Mia tour and lodging

Naxos: Planning a trip for two families (totaling 7 adults - ages 19 to 70+) to Naxos in early July. Looking for some more lodging recommendations. Have looked at Studios Kalergis but reviews on Trip Advisor making me wonder if the nice pics don't tell the whole story. Open to feedback re Studio Kalergis from someone who has stayed there and open to other suggestions. Preferably near beach. Open to in town (of Naxos) or on the beaches to the west outside of town.

Skopelos: looking for Mama Mia tour suggestions. Also wondering if we should plan to stay on Skopelos, rather than taking the ferry from Skiathos that morning. Looks like tours start at 9:00 AM. reliability of the ferries seems to be a problem. Welcome lodging recommendations in Skopelos as well! Thanks.

While we have not stayed at Kalergis we have visited the hotel and have met people who were staying there and we had an opportunity to visit their room.
It is directly on the beach. You will not be disappointed.
It is also just a 10 minute stroll along the headland to the waterfront promenade of Naxos town.

Here is an image. Click the arrow to the right of the picture. There are 5.

And for fun here are some images of Naxos

We stayed several nights at Studio Kalgeris Sep 2018. Ground floor with patio, mini kitchen, safe, nice bath, friendly & helpful staff. Location couldn't be better - on the beach, close to town & ferry dock, close taxi ride to airport, even quiet. We highly recommend.

Stanbr and Janis are not "the RS Crowd" ... they are not talking about Steves tours or recommendations. They are independent travelers and find their own accommodations; Stanbr in particular started coming to Naxos before RIck Steves ever came to Greece, and has visited there at least 15 times. I'm not sure why recommendations to Kalergis are "RS" indicators... Steves has never been to Naxos and none of his tours have, nor do his guidebooks or videos feature Naxos.

Janet, why the attitude? I was simply meaning that the OP listened to the opinions of the previous posters, who, by posting on this site, are part of the RS crowd. I said nothing about a tour. I guess I consider myself part of that RS crowd too, because I'm here.

SOrry Emily! MIsunderstanding ... I misthought that RS crowd referred to tendency of some, to follow RS tour & series choices.
