We will be spending three nights in Naxos at the end of April next year as a "vacation" within our vacation. We're looking for a hotel that will offer comfortable spaces to relax during the day, preferably with a view of the sea, as well as a restaurant /bar at least for breakfast. Our challenge is that many of the hotels are not open until May. We are not keen on the "suites" available as stand-alone units as we'd like a few more amenities to relax without leaving the property.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have not looked at dates of opening at the end of April but I would suggest you look at St George beach area. It has lots of hotels to look at and it is just a 10 minute stroll into Naxos town so you get the beach and can easily get into Naxos town where the action is.
Not all the hotels will be open in late April but you might want to look at Kalgaros hotel and Glaros Petite hotel. They are both good well regarded hotels and we have been staying with both of them for several years.
Since it is late in the season and the Greek hotels are starting to shut down after a very long and exhausting tourist season if you contact these hotels you may not get a response until after Christmas/New year. Even I cant get a direct booking until February. Web sites like booking dot com may be able to take bookings during the off season.
