Based on other forum feeds we have reviewed, our family (2 parents and 2 college-age boys) is planning to fly from Athens to Santorini to stay one night in Oía, and then ferry over to spend 3 nights on Naxos. We would like to stay at a beach front propriety near Naxos town. I have read through a number of Naxos feeds for hotels near St. George Beach, but they are a few years old and pre-COVID19. The Kalergis Studios look perfect with a two bedroom family quadruple and a rate of $230 per night fits well into our budget. We will also plan to rent a car to get around the island. Are there any other recommendations for similar beachfront properties within a reasonable walking distance to town and recently visited in the past two years?

You can't do any better !! ... don't waste a minute, book Kalergis (the free-cancellation rate of course). I've visited Naxos 13 times, last time June 2019 ... stayed about 20 yards from Kalergis.... they're right ON the sands & their guests get free use of sunbeds , a welcome plus with the recent rise in rates for same.

We have visited Kalergis and can confirm it s a nice hotel and right on the beach.
If you can't get your room there you might consider Hotel Kymata. Its not on the beach but is just about 100 meters from Kalergis. It has two two bedroom suites on the top floor with a large shared balcony. It has an amazing 180 degree view over the sea and all the way to the ferry port in Naxos town. We stayed there on our last holiday.
