Hi all. In early March we are traveling to Greece. 3 nights Athens, 2 nights Nafplio, another night Nafplio vs Hydra vs Corinth, then Corinth for a night, Delphi for a night, back to Athens for a night and fly out. We pick up our car day 3 and drop off before we check in for our last night in Athens. Our question is that one night we don’t have established yet. Hydra would be great but I’m worried about logistics, by the time we drive to coast, get a ferry, etc we would short change it for only 1 night. Would it make more sense to extend either Nafplio or Corinth instead? Thanks!
Extend Nafplio ... I have been back there 7 times and still make discoveries! Have you really explored the fab noncommercial website - http://www.visitnafplio.com/ ? If you click on just a few links, you'll see that there are delights in and around Nafplio to explore in ANY season ... walks, climbs to the towers and parapets, a stroll around the point, the wonderful small tavernas in narow car-free lanes ... so much to do, see .... and trees and flowers are bursting into Spring b loom all over town. Citzens consider Nafplio THE most beautiful Old Town in all of greece ... and you'll agree. I;ve visited more than 25 Isles & the BEST sunsets In Greece, IMO, are seen from the charming seafront cafes along the Nafplio promenade. Here are a couple of photo albums from R Steves regular and photo ace "stanbr" just for a sampling --

These photos were taken in May, but Nafplio is equally charming in early spring, and if there's a shower, plenty to explore indoors!
I wouldn't miss Hydra for the world. I would recommend two nights, but one night will still give you a nice couple of days. Travel between Hydra and Athens (Piraeus) is easy. Did you know there is also a ferry from the Peloponnese (Metochi) to Hydra? This might serve your plan better, I don't know.
If you want to go to Hydra you could drive to Metochi as mentioned or Ermioni which is nearby and take the ferry for a day trip and park you car at either location if you want to stay over night.
Then you can drive back to Athens.
FYI, spending just one night at a location means probably just 1/2 day there due to travel times and settling in at your accommodations.
While Hydra is nice it does involve getting there so it might be better to add the extra day to Nafplio as there is a huge amount to do, see and experience in and nearby Nafplio.
Thank you for your input. We are planning to spend the extra night in Nafplio.
You can do a day trip to Hydra/Spetses with Pegasus Cruises.
They have an office in Nafplio.
