Hi. I will be going to Nafplio mid December with my daughter and granddaughter (we don't mind winters). My granddaughter is 12.5 years old and in a school for the arts and I do a lot of handicrafts. We will only have Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday and I wanted to do two handicraft workshops for us all. I tried to sign up for weaving and mosaics but both places said they don't do that any more. I don't know how interesting the worry beads will be for my granddaughter if it is just stringing beads on a cord as we have done lots of that together over the years.
Can anyone here recommend other handicraft workshop ideas? Or does someone know an artisan personally who might be willing to teach us privately even if they don't generally offer classes to tourists?
We're going horseback riding on Thursday morning (weather permitting) but if we don't have the option of learning some local crafts, I'm afraid my granddaughter will not be satisfied and perhaps rather bored.

Check out this great website for Nafplio to get all kinds of information.
Also: at the top of the page to the right of the logo click "really useful information" and you'll get a roll down.
At the bottom of the roll down click "Contact and Disclaimer"
You'll get how to contact the person who runs the website and enter your info about the workshops.
She's a great person and has helped a lot of people with personal information.
