What is the best way to get to Hydra from Nafpilio? We will have a car and I know they do not allow cars on Hydra. Want to leave the car at a ferry??

We drove from Nafplio where we had our apartment and made the easy drive to Ermioni and took the ferry from there. Super easy and just parked the car along the quiet harbor for a few days and then returned with same ferry , picked up our car again and drove back to Nafplio. Just check for any parking restrictions when you get to Ermioni.

You can drive to Ermioni and get a ferry.
There is also a small ferry service in the town of Metochi that offers more ferries per day to and from Hydra. It's close to Ermioni and may provide better options. There is secure parking available for 5 euros a day.
It's also a shorter trip.
