Mykonos-Paros (Or Naxos)-Santorini in June

Hi all,
We are family of 4 (with teens 17 and 19) and headed to Greece at the end of June. We are a very active family from CA and look forward to exploring a few islands, good food, some beach time, shopping and relaxing. Plus of course enjoying the wonderful sights and beautiful water!
We fly into Mykonos and out of Santorini and have 9 nights to spend in between. Our current plan is 3 nights in Mykonos, 3 nights in Paros and 3 nights in Santorini. Here are some questions I would love input on..

  • Should we spend more/less time in some of the islands?? (2/3/4 night split between islands??)
  • Any advise on Paros vs. Naxos? I picked Paros mainly so we can also do a daytrip to Antiparos.
  • What area in Mykonos do you recommend to stay?? In Mykonos Town or further south closer to the beaches?
  • Planning on staying Oia in Santorini - any input?

Anything else you recommend on any of the islands (must see's and must do's) or with regards to our itinerary would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

I would recommend staying in Firostefani. We loved being on that part of the island. We did visit Oia for dinner one evening and the wall to wall crowds were insane.

We stayed in Oia because we rented a house there. It was wonderful to be able to see the town without the crowds. We really enjoyed that. My family got up at 7am and saw the town and took some beautiful pictures without a single tourist in them.

The biggest disadvantage I think is beyond gyros (which were wonderful) I thought the restaurants there was more expensive, appealing to a more upscale crowd than Fira.

Take a night away from Santorini. We could not wait to get out of there! Add it to Paros or Naxos. Stay atPetassos Beach Resort on Mykonos, buses go to Mykonos Town regularly. Near a beach.
You will live Paros!
