Mykonos neighborhoods, where to stay?

Hello! I’ll be traveling with my husband and one other couple to Mykonos for 4 days in early September. We are deciding between staying in Chora or Little Venice. I would love to hear your opinions on these neighborhoods including pros and cons.
I would also love to hear what activities and restaurants/bars you like. We are young 60 year olds. Nothing to young a crazy but also nothing to old and boring.
This will be a once in a lifetime trip for us and we are very, VERY excited.
Thank you so much for your time and opinions.

We stayed in Chora. Google Little Venice. From what I remember it was more crowded.

Um both sort of the same really -

I’d suggest Poseidon hotel - it’s steps from town ( we are your age group and walked it all the time ) and have beautiful pool views , great breakie etc

Actually I’d skip Mykonos ( but I’ve been 7-8 times now ( over many years ) so easy for me to say ) and stay on Naxos ! Or even Paros !

Another decent place to stay on Mykonos is Paranga beach at Zephyrs hotel - family run - pool with ocean views , steps to small beach lined with cafes and beach clubs . Bus stops outside hotel frequently for 10 minute ride into town .

Sorry I’m just so sick of Mykonos now that we’ve been to other islands ( Naxos , Syros , Paros , Anti Paros , going to try Crete and IOS this year ( along with return to syros and Naxos , going for a month ! )

Plenty of beautiful white washed Cycladic islands besides Mykonos -

Oh and don’t even start me on what complete rip off Mykonos is - 5 euro water bottle at grocers thst on any other island would be 2 euros for exact same thing

Hi there!

Chora (Mykonos Town) is full of cute streets, shops, and restaurants, and it’s very central. Little Venice is part of Chora, right on the water with beautiful sunset views, but it can be noisier at night due to the bars.

For activities, I’d suggest a boat trip to Delos, sunset drinks in Little Venice (try Katerina’s), and a relaxed beach day at Agios Ioannis or Ornos.

Restaurant picks: M-eating, Eva’s Garden, Remezzo, and Nice n Easy. Fun and lively but not wild! Enjoy your trip!

Townhouse Mykonos is as close to Delos boat as you can get for a 4 star hotel. My suggestion is the hotel not b&b.
