Mykonos in November

Mykonos Island is famous for its picturesque windmills, white washed buildings, and upscale fun vibe. However, I learned a valuable lesson - when a place is known for windmills, there is probably some wind, especially in November. Indeed was a constant cold wind and pretty unpleasant. And related to that, 90% of the shops and restaurants were completely closed. I guess it was worth to see, but given a 5-6 hour ferry ride each way to Athens (@ 32-50 eu each way per head). But I would not do it again. And I am not sure I would go in summer in the future with really expensive hotels and restaurants.
