We are flying to Athens on a Thursday, spending one night at the Sofitel (airport) and then on to one of the islands on for the weekend (Friday-Sunday). We are thinking about storing our luggage and just taking our weekend clothes in our backpacks (avoiding the baggage fees). Anyone have experience with the luggage storage offered at the airport and does anyone know if you can store luggage at the Sofitel? Thank you.

On booking.com at the Athens Airport Sofitel page it is indicated in Reception services section:: Luggage storage with additional charges

There's a left luggage business in the Arrivals Hall just inside exit/entry door #1.

Thanks for the great info. Will check out both options. And no we will not be returning to the Sofitel. So we may choose the airport option.
