If I purchase a combo ticket and put the time slot for Acropolis for later the day say 5 pm, can I go to another smaller site prior to acropolis on the same day, 2pm?
Or the date and time chosen for acropolis will need to be the 1st entry.

The date and time you select when purchasing the combo ticket are those of the Acropolis & Slopes visit.
But you can use the combo ticket before or after the Acropolis visit
You can visit the sites in any order, the only rule being that the combo ticket is valid for 5 days from the first visit to any of the sites included in this ticket.

this is the way it is. You buy a combo tkt. You get your timeframe to do the Acropolis. Set in stone.
At this point you have tkt with a date and time _ FOR THE ACROPOLIS.
AT this point you take your tkt and use it for the other included sites any day you want within 5 days of your Acropolis day.
You do not have to go to the Acropolis first.
The first site you enter is the day that your 5 days starts.
You can go to any included sites on one day, or up to five days. Only one time per site.

is Theatre of Dionysus a part of Acropolis complex? Another word, I can only go to see Theatre of Dionysus when I go inside of Acropolis.

The Theater of Dionysus is on the Acropolis Hill and is one of the sites you will see with the Acropolis & Slopes ticket. It is not possible to visit it separately.
