Can anyone recommend a could local tour guide/company for a half day shore excursion tour of Monemvasia? Thanks!

Assuming you are fully mobile, there is little need for a guide at this wonderful cruise stop. Maybe read the Aubrey-Maturin marine novel that takes place there. The secondary climb is worth it, but not essential.

I second that, you don't need a tour. Just some good walking shoes and some free time to explore and soak in the stunning views. It's a lovely place, not all that big and you don't really have to climb to the top to appreciate the medieval city on the rock and the views. Wander and enjoy...
