My family is planning an 18 day trip to the Peleponese in late December (Athens, Areopoli, Monemvasia, Nafplion). We are planning on 4 nights in Monemvasia over Christmas. Will there be restaurants open there, especially on the 24 and 25th? We realize that many of the restaurants may only be open during the summer high season. We will be staying at a hotel with self catering so could just plan to eat in that day.
Also, I've seen some reports from 2015 that much of the Monemvasia Upper town is closed off --does anyone know if that is still the case?
