midnight taxi on Santorini

My flight is scheduled to land on Santorini just before midnight. Are taxis available from the airport at that time of day?

Yes. That is not too late for some taxis. But not all taxis will be operating then so you might have to wait or share. If you share both parties will be charged full fare. That's the customary way it's done there.

When I flew into Santorini in 2017, my small hotel offered a free pick up and transport to the hotel. That was during the day however. If you are staying at a hotel or B & B, you might inquire about that, if they do not provide a pickup, maybe they can at least arrange for a taxi to meet you.

I don't know this particular airport, but it would be very unusual for there NOT to be taxis to meet an arriving flight, anywhere. The cab drivers know the flight schedules, and wouldn't want to lose the business.

My young adult children arrived about midnight. The hotel where they stayed recommended prebooking a taxi as they are difficult to get at that hour. They booked it for them. It all worked out well.

Yes there will be taxis at midnight. However you might contact your hotel and ask them if they do airport pick up. Many do. If not ask them if they can suggest what is the best way to get to the hotel. They will have a favorite taxi driver or a shuttle service that they rely on.

My first trip to Greece was to an island called Samos and seeing as I had such a brilliant time there, I figured it was high time to plan another trip to Greece – which is exactly what I did! This time, I plan on visiting the island of Santorini which looks absolutely picturesque! I can’t wait to go – I’m so excited and so, to help manage my excitement, I’ve essentially spent hours looking at photos of Santorini – partly to get a better sense of what to expect but mostly just to visually assist in my daydreaming until I get to experience it in person. We used https://aktis.taxi/ for the transfer, because there were 5 of us. Very efficient - almost instant response to emails. They put us in two cars for the same pre-agreed price. Both drivers were charming and informative, cars were new and clean. I'd recommend them for transfer and I'll use them again.
