We would like to take a Metro from the cruise port (Carnival arrival) to the airport. What lines do we take, how much will it cost, and how long will it take? Thanks is advance for help.
OOPS, forgot to mention : the Athens cruise port.
From the cruise port location you have to make your way to the ferry port central location where the Green Line train will take you into Athens. Get off at the Monastiraki Station and transfer to the Blue Line Metro to the airport, all for €11. Your other option is to take the Airport Express Bus X96 from Piraeus direct to the airport. Timewise it should be about the same, around 75 minutes, since you won't have to go into Athens first. Also, it's cheaper than the Metro, only €6. Of course you can always take a taxi for around €40.
Thank you. Looks good.
The metro while efficient does have lots of pickpockets so take the express bus or the taxi.
I forgot to mention that I think there's now a shuttle bus that will take you from the cruise ship docking area to the ferry docks where the Bus and Metro stations are located.
