Meteora - updated hotel recs?

Another very specific question. We would like to stay in Kastraki for 2 nights in June. Pyrgos Adrachti (our first choice) may not have room for both nights. Any recent experiences with other hotels in Kastraki that we could investigate as backup?

We'll be coming from Athens and will want to chill in the bucolic countryside, need parking, and a good breakfast is a plus. Thank you!

Yep. Doupiani House is awesome. For bucolic chilling, it has a very nice patio with tables, bar service, local cats, view of Meteora rocks. Easy parking and access to the monasteries. Can't remember if it came with breakfast. Check website: https://www.doupianihouse.gr/

We were initially planning to stay in Kastraki as a smaller village near the monasteries (and thus had chosen Pyrgos Adrachti), but Hotel Doupiani looks lovely too, though it is in busier Kalambaka. We are staying for a few nights so would like to choose the best end-of-day, walk to a couple good tavernas, quiet evenings. They both have room and are the exact same price :)

Any thoughts appreciated!

Doupiani House is not in Kalambaka. Its in Kastraki. Mailing address may be Kalambaka but the hotel is actually in Kastraki (actually, even a bit up above the village, a bit further from Kalambaka and closer to the monasteries.

Any hotel you find on a site like Booking over an 8 is going to be fine. I've been to Meteora three times, found a hotel each time a few weeks ahead of time, and they were all great.

Off top of my head they were Lithos Guesthouse, Ziogas Rooms and Hotel Spanias.

Pro Tip: Finish first day in monasteries and have an early dinner. Then, drive back up to the monasteries for sunset photography at about 8 pm.
