We would like to visit Meteora Monasteries in mid April prior to start of our RS tour. We will not have a rental car and we are looking at a 1-day tour.
Does any one have any tour guides or tour company recommendations. There are several "private car" companies that just drive you there and wait for you and drive you back. And there are several "tour companies/ guides" the drive you there and give you some history/explanation during the drive and also wait for you. Both types, you are on your own to tour the monasteries since guides are not allowed in.
Does anyone have any experience and or recommendations on private cars or tour companies/guide ?

Be warned that a daytrip to the Meteora from Athens is 9 to 10 hours on the road round trip.
Whether by car or bus.
Also note that pants are prohibited for women. All Meteores monasteries offer clothing at the entrance to either cover the shoulders or cover the legs. Some monasteries charge you for this rental

Visit Meteora is a great company with several tours to choose from. https://visitmeteora.travel/. We did the Sunset Tour and really enjoyed our guide and tour.
