My husband and I plan to visit Meteora for two nights next June. I would like to stay in Kastraki in a room with a view. Does anyone have a place they would recommend?

I absolutely loved the Guesthouse Plakias, as a family owned guesthouse with about 6 to 7 rooms and attached restaurant. It was the people, more than fancy rooms, though (although the room was fine). I requested a room with a balcony and view and we ate dinner at the restaurant twice. Message me and I will be happy to get you some pictures. I keep threatening to just move there.

darrenblois--Wow! The views from the panoramic view rooms do not look real. Unfortunately, they are all already booked for Friday June 10 when we will be there. We plan to be there for two days. The days on either side of Friday June 10 are available so looks like someone with one night stays beat us to the rooms.
I am finding that either rooms are not "released" for spring/summer 2022 yet or they are already booked. It is rather frustrating I must say.

We stayed at Hotel Kastraki this past summer and can highly recommend it. There are views to the monasteries, but it is a bit far from the main town of Kalambaka. There are several restaurants within walking distance (we did not have a car), and the Visit Metoeora van stops there for pickup.
