Is March a good month for a tour of Athens, Santorini and a few of the other islands? Is the weather warm enough during the day for sightseeing. Is it typically a sunny , dry monyh?
Thanks
If you wish to go to the islands, I would go later, like May.
I just googled March weather in Athens (you could also have done this); and got this:

I’m always in Greece in March and the weather is changeable. I’ve generally had some wet days but also some hot sunny days. It can be warm during the day and then cold in the evening. I certainly take a hat and gloves and often need them. Be aware as well that a lot of the islands will be very quiet.
On the other hand, everywhere is quieter and people have more time to chat.

The weather could go either way but the crowds will be very minimal.
Santorini, in particular, would be pleasant with small crowds since that is not the island with the best beaches anyway.
The other islands will also be largely deserted. Still beautiful but not warm enough for beach time.
I would consider a lengthy stay on Crete, then ferry to Santorini, then back to Athens and fly home.
