I'd like to store my luggage for a few hours in Pireaus prior to taking an overnight ferry to Lesbos. Any suggestions or recommendations for a reliable company near the port?
Where are you coming from? Second, we have passed through Pireaus several times and don't remember seeing any luggage but were not looking either. It kind of spread out. It is not like a train station with a single terminal building. I would check with the ferry company to see if they would have a recommendation.
I remember a hot day in Pireaus, when I wanted to walk to the Pireaus Museum, in the few hours I had before my ferry. I did this: I picked a large ticket agency, where I saw a row of bags lined up behind a bench at the back wall. I bought my ticket there, and simultaneously asked whether I could leave my bag with them while I "ran down the street to see something." THey readily assented and pointed to the row where other bags were. My rather beat-up looking rollaboard contained only clothes and travel items, no valuables -- my pocket-money, phone, camera etc were in my over-shoulder travel bag, and my passport, cc's, major cash, airtickets were all safe in the cloth "neck wallet" hanging down under my shirt. So I said thanks, stashed my suitcase, and trotted off to the museum (which BTW was over a mile away & hard to find, but worth it for a Graecophile/sculpture nerd like me). Just an option to consider.
