Lemnos Trip Photos

Finally got the photos sorted and organized.

This is just a few of the many I took but I think it gives you a nice picture of Lemnos and why I think it's one of the nicest Greek Islands I've been to.

Thanks for sharing. I must admit I found the desert really strange!

The desert was certainly unusual and different but nature does it's own thing and created a unique area to experience.

I found having the Aegean right across from it even more amazing.

Lemnos turned out to be even better than I had imagined!

Lovely - thank you for sharing! I’m ready!

I assume you drove to the different villages, parked, and walked around. Was parking easy to find?

We also really loved Lemnos, which we visited two years ago. It has a completely different vibe than the Cyclades, unique landscapes, friendly people, and quiet spots that haven't really been spoiled by tourism.

We never had the slightest issue with parking. It was a little more challenging in Myrina, the capital, where we only stayed for a few hours and spent at least five long minutes (!) looking for a spot.
But that's nothing unusual for the islands, where parking is never something you even have to think about, except sometimes in the capital/port town, which can get a bit congested at certain times of the day.

Here are a few pictures (actually, a video):

Since I stayed in Myrina the easiest place to park was at the port just 5 minutes from where I stayed.

I walked all over Myrina including the outskirts and for the most part it was easy walking.

As far as parking in some of the villages as I stated in my trip report most will have parking just outside the town or at a town square.

I would not recommend driving into the heart of villages as most will be a maze of streets and any wrong turn could end up at a dead end or going around in circles.

My Google Map was not very helpful trying to navigate in these villages. It got me to the village but had trouble determining how to drive around in them. Very frustrating so if at all possible park outside the village and walk in.

Even if you have to walk a little further to the village it's less stressful trying to navigate narrow "streets" or having to back up in very tight spaces.
