Am I reading this correctly? From the Ministry of Culture and Sports Free admission days“ last weekend of September annually”? Is this just the Ancient Agora of Athens?

It's true . . . however, it will be a mob scene, even worse than non-free days. If you go get there at opening time, 8 a.m.
The cost is 30 euros for a all-inclusive ticket which includes other sites and for 30 euros it's worth it. If you are spending hundreds if not thousands of euros on a Greek Holiday 30 euros will not break the bank. Help the Greek Economy and yourself by going on a regular day at 8 a.m. if you want a more peaceful and tranquil Acropolis experience.
