Looking for recommendations where to stay in Kefalonia for approx 1 week mid October. Want to revisit southern area (fifty years past), rent car, explore archeological and historical areas, and be grounded in one lodging. If possible, village with good food/grocery easy access. Not resort-like or tourist driven. Simple, clean, light lodging. Quiet. Few mosquitoes. Ocean or other nature views lovely. Local culture appreciated.
