Can anyone suggest a 7-day itinerary to Greece and Turkey, covering all key spots in both countries? What is the ideal # of days needed to cover both places?

Both countries need at least a week each at least to just scratch the surface, let alone visit all key spots. What are you interested in seeing? Ancient ruins, Byzantine churches, cities, islands, coastlines?

Turkey is the size of California, with as many attractions/sites as Calif. The RS tour does Turkey in 13 days: https://www.ricksteves.com/tours/greece-turkey/turkey We added two days before the tour to cover Istanbul sites RS did not visit. Which sites in Turkey were you thinking you wanted to visit?

I agree, just Athens and Istanbul, or pick one and then add somewhere else in that country. You’d need 7 weeks to cover all the key spots in both countries, and even that would be pushing it. Good luck!
