Looking for advice from those who have island hopped from Samos to Athens. I'm on the Best of Turkey tour in September with 5 days free afterward before flying home from Athens. How did you decide which island to hop to from Samos, then the next one from there, etc? Is 5 days enough time? Thanks.

The only ferries that go to Piraeus from Samos are the Blue Star ferries. They either take a direct route in about 9 hours, or go via Ikaria, Mykonos, and Syros two or three times a week.
So, in terms of island hopping, these are basically the only options you'll have. From Mykonos, there are also possibilities of going to Tinos on the way to Piraeus.
