I leave for the island of Corfu next Monday. I am worried that I will not be able to pull euros from my USA checking account at the ATM's because of the financial situation in Greece. Does anyone have advise?

While I don't think they'll reach a deal by Thursday, I also don't think all the ATMs will be empty by Monday...it will take a while to wind down a default (and they technically have until the end of the month to pay the IMF and early next month to pay the ECB). If you're that worried, then make sure you have a back-up plan - use credit cards as much as possible (you'll actually be helping them avert even more tax evasion by doing do) and/or bring some Euros with you from the US.
