Ionian islands

Hello, some friends and I are chartering a sailboat in Corfu for a week in June to sail ourselves. We plan to go as far south as Ithaca before returning to Corfu. I am looking for any recommendations, restaurants, hikes, secluded beaches or any other must dos. Also, if anyone has done something similar can you list your favorite overnight anchorages? Thanks!

Regarding sailing in the Ionian Sea I have a guide who can give you a lot of information on ports, anchorages, sailing conditions, etc.
It is largely in French with some parts in English. with maps and photos.
It is a fairly large PDF file (140Mb) of approximately 180 pages:

Note that Gale Warnings and regular forecasts are broadcast on VHF channel 27 (Kefalonia) and 2 (Corfu)

Greetings jpfitzy7!
How exciting! We chartered a sailboat from Lefkada and made it to Ithaki(Ithaca). My gut is that planning to sails from Corfu to Ithaki might be ambitious as you will want make stops in between. Also wondering if you are familiar with med-mooring? The Ionian is very deep and anchoring is often not possible.
Regardless I will dig up our itinerary and send you a private message after the holidays.
Happy holidays!

Thank you for this info and look forward to seeing your itinerary. Yes, we are in the early planning of our route and will revise it many times over the coming months. I have limited Med-mooring experience, mostly France and Italy and always slime-lines. I think our crew is up to the challenge.

In Corfu, visit some olive farms and buy some genuine olive oil, such as the Governor. It's sold in the US too but at 2.5x the local price.
