Does anyone know the exact dates of the film festival for 2014?
Also, I am considering beginning my vacation in Greece at the end of Sept 2014 which is probably the tail end of the film festival and will stay in Greece about 2 weeks. Will Athens be very crowded and expensive because of this festival? Will flights into Athens be more expensive because of this?
Every city has there own film festival these days, some are more prestige than others. The one in Athens isn't one of the biggies so it shouldn't have any impact on your trip. It will be an attraction for the locals, and won't attract many visitors from outside Greece.
You could contact info@aiff.gr, but since they haven't published the 2014 dates online at this point, they can't expect much of an international crowd. Buy your plane tickets now, if you're ready, and beat the rush.
