How to research a topic via previous posts

Rather than just posting a question I enjoy reading about a subject via previous posts. Is there a "search" space on this page I'm missing? Thank you!

Yep, it's at the very top of the forum pages (including this one); a gray magnifying glass with the word "Search' beside it.
Hard to see, I know. :O)

After you enter a search term and hit enter, you will be given choices to narrow down the area of the website and time period.

I sometimes have better luck with just googling the subject and include Rick Steve’s forum. I am not a techy though so thank you Liz.

I think it looks different whether you are on a phone or computer. (On phone you have to click on the lines at top left.)

Ah, good point, valadelphia. I almost never use forums on my phone, and never done a search on it.

John, on my Firefox desktop, it's just to the right of the blue Rick Steves' Europe blue logo, top center of the screen. Magnifying Glass "search" icon and the word "Search".

On my Iphone SE, Firefox Mobile, it's seen when you hit the "menu" graphic, which is four parallel lines at the top left of the browser. The Search box comes up with the blue and shadowed list of options that show all the time in the desktop view. That includes the Search box, with the magnifying glass.

I find it to be a better than average search engine. But of course selecting the right Keywords for online research is a learned skill. Note the filter options that come up, including "Forums" and 6, 12, or 24 months. Because you posted in the Greece forum, I'd mention that misspellings are perhaps more common there than in some other places. I don't know if the Search allows for misspellings automatically.

Indeed, you are likely to get much more information by Searching, than by one single thread you start new. There just aren't as many, varied, replies. Not even snarling "Can I Google That For You", just observing what's in your own best interest! Good luck with your research.
