How to find a taxi in Mystras

We will be in Greece for almost three weeks in May. We plan on visiting Mystras, driving from Aeropoli. I have read that one strategy is to take a taxi to the top and then walk down to your car.

Any ideas on how/where to get a taxi?

And if we can't, what is the best strategy ?

I was under 50 when I visited and did not find it at all taxing to go up and back, but the entry area is somewhat bustling. I wonder if it would make more sense to park at the top, then get the taxi back to your car since there is more activity down there and likely someone to ask. This is just if my memory is correct that you could park in both locations.

You can park at both sites—the lower town and the fortress at the top. But unless you get lucky, I doubt you'll find a taxi at just the right time. IMO hitchhiking will be more efficient.
The same ticket is valid for 24 hours at both sites.

By the way, since you're traveling in May, keep in mind that May 18 is International Museum Day. Admission is free to the sites and museums.
