Hotel recommendations, city Tour

Hello: I will be traveling to Athens in the fall. I want to stay at a hotel where the rooms are beautiful but not overpriced, not interested in the lobby or breakfast, just want a good clean room with amenities and close to the attractions. Willing to spend up to $450/ nite

Thanks for your replies

We enjoyed the AthensWas Hotel on Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, a shady pedestrian street in Makrigianni and only 1 block from the New Acropolis Museum and 2 blocks from the Acropolis on the promenade.

I stayed at the Athens Capitol City Center--M Gallery.

Nice rooms, all the amenities you could want, diagonally across from Syntagma Square, and easy walking to the Plaka. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area.

Rooftop pool and bar. Great views of the Acropolis especially lit up at night.

I know you said you weren't interested but the breakfast buffet was very good.
