I need hotel recommendations for Greece in November 2025. Don’t necessarily care about the cost but more on why you liked it. Interested in Athens, Santorini, Crete and Napflio. Purpose of trip is just to chill, enjoy food and be like a local. I don’t have any must do or see, Im okay with just chilling and enjoying the food. Thinking of being there 2-3 weeks. Thanks!
Um , you do realize November is off season right - and that it won’t be beach weather anymore ?
Places like Santorini , they will close a lot of places in winter as owners tend to go back to mainland for winter .
Athens will of course not be affected -
Crete does have a very good archaeological museum in Heraklion ( year round ) .
Yes, Im not going for the beach for sure and my husband prefer less crowd when traveling so I always comply to have a happy companion. Santorini is a must see because of its picturesque nature and hopefully it will be nice enough for pictures.
... be like a local.
It's a laudable intention, but unfortunately, I think you can forget it, especially in the places you want to go.
The good news comes from Aegean Airlines if you're traveling to Greece this winter on a domestic flight.
It's in the link below.

Athens: Hotel Phaedra, at the foot of the Acropolis. Budget to moderate, but great value and unbeatable location. https://hotelphaedra.com/
Santorini (Oia): Hotel Aethrio. How this place is not MUCH better known I don't understand. Gated from the main drag, so quiet. Fantastic pool. Our room had a private balcony with amazing views to the northwest / sunset (not the caldera side). https://www.aethrio.gr/
In Nafplio check out the Aetoma Guesthouse. A wonderful family run place, caring and kind hosts. Breakfast was terrific, extensive and well prepared and beautifully served. Our room was large and comfortable…when we checked in we were warmly greeted and served coffee and cakes on the balcony overlooking a lovely and quiet street. Reviews on Booking.com are almost exclusively 10/10 and I concur. A special place. Safe travels.
Thanks Everyone for the recommendation. Adding it to my list.
We recently enjoyed our hotels in Athens and Santorini. In Athens, we stayed at A for Athens. We liked the location to the sights and good restaurants. We had a small balcony with a fantastic view of the Acropolis, and it was great for watching the action of Monastiraki Square. The staff was so helpful, especially Alex. The rooftop bar was a nice way to cap evenings. Breakfast is across the street at its sister property, and it was good. In Santorini, we enjoyed our stay at Avaton Spa and Resort. Again, very helpful staff, peaceful setting, as was on the edge of town, and lovely breakfast. In Napflio, we stayed at Leto Nuevo. The hotel was overall fine, but it would have been nice to be a little more in Old Town and the rooms and bathrooms were small, so if wanting to relax in the room, it could be tight.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I'm not sure if it will be open in November, but our stay at Lithies Traditional Homes in Santorini was phenomenal. In Athens, we enjoyed Inn Athens; modern, roomy, great staff. In Napflio, take a look at Aetoma Hotel. It's a wonderful little B&B that is run by Pan, and her son Akis. Terrific breakfast, excellent service and it has been in the family for generations.
