We will be finishing our fall visit to Greece in Napflion. Our flight leaves Athens at 1pm, so we will leave the afternoon before and would like to stay somewhere convenient to the airport and car drop off. Bonus points for somewhere where we can enjoy a last evening after our three week vacation!
I see hotel Avra as a possibility or is that too far away?

Avra is a great choice. Free shuttle, it's located near a beach. You can have a last evening dinner at a Greek Taverna near the hotel. Dolce Attica Riviera hotel in Brauron is a good option too, check it.

On our last two visits we have spent the night before our flight at Avra. While it is a good 35 minutes from the airport they do offer free shuttle service and book you on a shuttle that is timed to get you to the airport early enough for your flight. The hotel is facing a beach and the sea and there is an active central square just a short walk away for that last evening dinner.
Presumably you will be dropping the car off at the airport so you can easily walk to the shuttle parking spot at the terminal.
