We will be visiting Hydra for 2 nights in mid-August, with our 27 year old daughter.
Suggestions for the hotel and restaurants would be appreiciated.

We stayed at Pension Alkionides (https://www.alkionidespension.com/). It was very good, not outstanding. Easily walkable from the harbour. We had a room with large balcony overlooking a lemon grove. We would have liked to stay at Hotel Sophia, right on the harbourfront.
Best restaurant, hands down, is Xeri Elia Douskos. No website, but Google it and you'll find it. Outdoor seating under leafy trees. Your fish are swimming until you pick which one you want. Live music when we were there. Entire meal, wine, digestifs, for two people ... EUR 35. Unbelievable how good this place is.
