Can anyone recommend a hotel for Fira, Santorini?
Yes, but we need your travel details. What are your travel dates? How many rooms? How many people in your group? Maximum nightly room budget (in EURO) per room? What sort of Facilities/Amenities/Services do you require? Are you looking for a hotel with a caldera view, or a pool, breakfast included? The more you offer the better the recommendations.
I can recommend Blue Dolphin Apartments in Firostefani, which is next to Fira but quieter and less crowded than Fira. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the caldera. The view is spectacular! Breakfast for an additional 25 euros for 2 people was delicious and very filling. We ate breakfast on our balcony overlooking the caldera. In May the price of the room was about $230.
Agree with looking at Firostefani. It is between Fira and Oia. We stayed at the Sunset. It had a beautiful outside patio and view of the white caldera. It was less touristy but there was still a nice village environment with restaurants and shops.
Thank you very much for the recommendations! I looked at those and the suit my needs perfectly.
Our go to is Lithies Traditional Homes in Firostefani. Terrific accommodations; excellent price point and even better service.
I agree with above recommendation for Lithies. We just stayed there last week and it was amazing. Beautiful accommodations and views with unparalleled hospitality.
We are just finishing up our four night stay at the Theoxenia Caldera hotel in Fira and I can strongly recommend. The hotel sits at the lower end of the walking district ( near the Greek Orthodox Church) so it is easy to walk to your choice of restaurants. We stayed in a room with a balcony space overlooking the caldera for about E150 a night. Didn’t have to fight the crowds for the incredible sunsets and despite being above the walking district it was not noisy. We highly recommend this hotel and it’s helpful staff.
Another vote for Lithes Traditional Homes in Firostefani. We were there two weeks ago and the view took my breath away. It's a short walk to Fira and there are restaurants and shops close by. The accommodations are beautiful and Maria makes you feel so welcome. They serve your breakfast at a table right outside your door and there is a terrace below that for sipping wine and looking at the sunset. We stayed in the Eros house and it was just lovely! They also arranged a complimentary ride to and from the airport and Sonny carried our bags up and down the hillside to our rooms. We loved our stay there!
