Hotel Dilemma Crete, Naxos, and Paros

We are to going to Greece in September. We plan to use Marriott points in one location for 5 days.
Our dilemma is whether to use the points in Chania, Crete or Paros.
Should we stay in Marriott in Chania and not divide the time between Chania and Heraklion?
The other choice is to stay in Paros for 5 days but Naxos seems a better choice.
Thoughts?

Perhaps you can outline the hotels on each island where you can redeem your points. Once we know the hotels we will know their location and can perhaps provide useful comments.

Both cities on Crete are worthy of stays. If you’ve got only one hotel where you can use the points, apply them to another location. I don’t know how the points work - do you get a better value from using them on Paros or on Naxos?

Do you plan to see Knossos and/or the archaeological museum in Iraklio? I would stay in the city, and wouldn’t do that as a daytrip from Hania.

We are trying to decide whether to redeem points for 5 night stay at Cosme on Paros or Domes Zeen Chania. Ideally, I would like to stay on Naxos instead of Paros...but not sure.
On the other hand, staying in Old town Chania would be nice and then move east.
I would appreciate some more responses. We definitely want to redeem our points on the trip and these are the only two locations to do so.

I don't know how many points you have, but I had a heart attack when I saw the lowest price for the basic room at the Cosme in Paros in September...

820€ for one night...

With sea view: 1166€ / Night.

Since it overlooks the beach of Agioi Anargyroi which faces north, you will also have to like the wind.

The emergency services came, I feel much better. Thanks!

Karen, i strongly urge you to redeem your points for magazine subscriptions, sports equipment, or anything else but forcing yourself to stay at hotels that are in the wrong places, even the wrong islands, & are (according to others) overpriced. THis approach is what my old mother used to call cutting off your nose, to spite your face. These points may well have been awarded for business travel -- in which case you might be able to consider them as "free," put them behind you, and make plans that suit your trip better.

The Domes Zeen is about a 30 minute walk into Chania old town. We walked past it a couple of times last May. It certainly is high end resort but just a bit remote from the city. It would be a good choice, however if you choose to use your points on Paros, you probably would want to find a hotel in the old town area of Chania. Lots to do and see there.
