Hello,
We are trying to find a hotel close to the airport that has a shuttle from and to the airport(trying to avoid cab costs). We are also on a budget so we would like to keep the cost of the hotel manageable. This is a work around because of the upcoming ferry strike May 30th, as we had to purchase airline tickets that wasn't in the budget. Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated.

Compare the room rates at the Holiday Inn Athens - Attica with the cost of a room at Peri's Hotel. Both have free shuttles, but Peri's adds €5 to the room rate if you need the shuttle before 6:30am.
We loved St Thomas b&b. Shuttle service at nominal cost. Lovely people and lovely place. You can walk to a nearby taverna or order in, for a relaxing, inexpensive dinner by the pool.
This last weekend we’ve used the Hotel Avra in Rafina. The trip is 30 minutes but it’s a good hotel and we like being in Rafina which is a nice lively little town. We prefer this to the Peri which is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Avra shuttle times are here.
