Hi, my husband and I (we are in our 60's)will be staying in Naxos for 5 nights at the end of September beginning of October. We decided to extend our stay by 2 nights and need hotel recommendations. We would like to stay in the Saint George area and prefer an "upscale" property with a sea view ,walkable to the beach and breakfast on site . We start our stay at the Nissaki Hotel but they have no availability for our additional nights. We would like to be able to walk to restaurants. If need be we can rent a car for the end of our stay to move to another beach area such as Agios Prokopios or Agi Anna if there are no hotels that meet our criteria in the Saint George area. Again we would like to be able to walk to a restaurant as we don't like driving at night in unfamiliar areas. Our budget is 350e per night. Thoughts/advice?
In the same area of St George look at Kalergos, and Boutique Hotel Glaros. Glaros is right beside Nissaki. It was named one of the top 10 Boutique hotels in Greece by the Times of London a few years ago.
If you want to head out from town you might want to go to Plaka beach. Its about 7 km from Naxos town and has sand beach about 3 km long. We stay at 3 brothers but their parent Aegean Palace is a high end hotel beside three brothers.

Here are some photos of Plaka beach. None show Aegean Palace.

There are excellent Tavernas near Aegean Palace. Nickolas and Marias gives you a Shirley Valentine moment with dining on the beach, and Petrinos has classic Naxion dishes. You probably might want to stop by in the morning to get a reservation.
Hi Stanbr thank you for recommendations. Unfortunately the Kalegris and hotel Galos are fully booked for the additional 2 nights that we need. They would have been perfect. Are you familiar with the Galaxy Hotel? They have availability on booking.com but have no reviews posted so I am hesitant to book. Antony Suites and Spiros are also available and they have good reviews on booking, com Are you or is anyone else familiar with these hotels ? Thank you
Yes I know Galaxy and Spiros. They are further down the beach. I have visited each of them. Neither of them are directly on the beach but both are a minute stroll taway. Galaxy is larger and closer to the beach. Spiros is behind Galaxy but the upper floor rooms have sea views. Spiros is family run so the service is great. If I had to choose between the two it would be Spiros.
thank you.! I will book Spiros
