Honeymoon Planning - Paros & Milos - Hotel Advice Needed

Hi! We are planning our honeymoon and our current itinerary is: fly into Athens (1 night), travel to Milos (4 nights), travel to Paros (4 nights), travel to Athens (1 night), fly out. This is early/mid June!

Travel style: mix of relaxation, culture, and adventure. We are huge foodies, love going out to cafes, cocktail/wine bars, and good dinners. With it being our honeymoon, we would love to splurge a little on our stays.

Need Hotel Advice
Paros: Parilio, Vione, Hotel Senia, Cove

I am having he most difficult time deciding if we should go with a luxury, more secluded 5 star property or a more authentic, small property that is walking distance to Naousa. I value beautiful sea views, good food, exceptional personalized service, and being close to Naousa. My gut is telling me Hotel Senia, but pictures make some of the rooms look a bit lackluster and I would hate to be put in an "older" room. Would love to know if you had had personal experiences at these hotels. My worry with being a drive away is we don't always want to count on a rental car to get into town (in case we want to drink), and taxis sound expensive.
Cove seems to combine everything, but has very mixed reviews on level of service.

Milos: Erema

Our travel agent suggested this new hotel. I do worry the private pool will be too cold to enjoy, but it does seem like a truly beautiful stay.

Logistics

Any opinion on if we should do Paros or Milos first? My initial thought was to do Paros first (culture, adventure, towns), and then Milos (relaxing, beaches). But our TA swapped the order.

I don’t actually know any of the hotels you mentioned because we always stay in houses or apartments when we're on the islands, but I know Paros and Milos. So, here are my two cents specifically about Milos.

Milos, which now gets massive cruise ships, is in my opinion a pretty overhyped island, mostly thanks to its Instagram-famous Sarakiniko beach and those few fisherman's houses in Klima that have been turned into short-term rentals. There are hardly any actual villages on the island, just Adamantas (the main port and capital), Triovasalos right nearby, and Pollonia way up in the far north.

Half of the island is a protected Natura 2000 zone where you can't even drive standard rental cars unless you have a 4WD. Those are the "NO SERVICE" areas on this Milos map:

The Erema is located in the southern part of the island, right on the edge of the western Natura 2000 zone in a pretty much uninhabited area. It’s brand new and definitely looks gorgeous, but there is literally no local life around, no bars, no tavernas, no restaurants. Once you're there you're pretty much forced to either eat whatever the hotel offers or hop in the car just to experience actual local life. It's the kind of new 5-star spot that people criticize for ruining the landscape just to cater to a wealthier international crowd.
That said, you don't have to share these old-school Greek island lover opinions if you love being totally isolated like in a high-end resort bubble with zero local contact outside of other guests and staff, it’s great!

If you want my advice, you'd be just as happy at Kapetan Tasos Suites in Pollonia (which was a exception to our usual travel style). It’s close to tons of tavernas, restaurants, amenities, and beaches, plus they have the best mattresses in the world (Greek ones!) and an incredible breakfast:

Combining Milos and Paros can be a bit tricky ferry-wise, since Milos is in the Western Cyclades and Paros is in the Central ones. Getting between them is often only possible via the small Seajets catamarans that hop around the islands from April to October. So while there's usually one ferry a day, you'll definitely want to double-check the ferry schedules before booking any accommodation!

The best ending to our honeymoon was Kapetan Tasos Suites. It was the best decision we took. From check in to check out the team was so professional and welcoming, everyone was always smiling and the owner was always present. The vibe was very nice and welcoming we felt at home. The suites are super clean and we highly recommend this place for your stay!!

Congratulations on your upcoming celebration and honeymoon!
In Paros we stayed at a small spot that looks like it's not far from Hotel Senia, and being able to walk to/from Naousa was definitely nice to be able to do. Taxis as you mentioned are expensive and were seemingly in short supply, and the bus service works but does not come through most areas often; we took it for a day or two to explore the island a little and it eventually gets you from A to B but you just have to go into it knowing that you will be on a slower schedule.
