My husband and I will be in Athens for Holy Weekend (April 14-16). We hope to visit Delphi on either Friday or Saturday. It looks like the site is open but we are reading that the roads may be very crowded with people leaving Athens for the holiday weekend. It is important to us to see Delphi on this trip. Can you recommend the best way to get there and hopefully enjoy some sight seeing on the way home as well? Thanks!

The warning about traffic is right. If possible Greeks will head off to their 'home' village at Easter and there is a big outrush from Athens.
The traffic will be really heavy though on Thursday evening and Friday morning, and then on Monday coming back into town. If anything I'd expect traffic to be lighter on the Saturday so plan to go then.

It won't be that bad. Once you get out of Athens on the expressway it's clear sailing. Even with heavier-than-normal volume that's always a pretty easy drive.
