I'm considering renting a car from Hertz, but I've read online about some agencies not allowing their cars on ferries. I see on Hertz's site that "Hertz vehicles may be taken to Greek islands by ferry only with written authorisation obtained from the renting location." I'd prefer to reserve my car online so it's handled in advance, but I'm concerned about reserving online and then not being able to receive the written authorization. Does anyone have experience receiving this written authorization from Hertz at the Athens airport? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps contact the Hertz location you plan to use and ask if they allow their cars to go where you want to go?
